About Repository Digital Books


Mission

Repository Digital Books preserves and provides access to materials in digital formats that are essential to the research and diffusion missions of Repository Digital Books. The Libraries support several digital repositories to address the varying needs of different kinds of materials, and provide services to members of the Repository Digital Books community (faculty, students, and staff) around these tools and resources.


Focus Areas

The two primary areas for repository services are Library Collections and Repository Digital Books Scholarship. These are further categorized into the following groups:

  • Digitized Collections - Repository Digital Books continue to provide access to important archival digitizad materials. These materials are made available in Repository Digital Books Collections. The Digital Collections program offers digitized books and preserves many of these materials and makes them easily openly accessible to all online.
  • Acquired Materials - Repository Digital Books in some cases purchases digital materials, including e-books, data sets, and more. The majority of these collections are available only through the website of Repository Digital Books. These collections may be used only by Repository Digital Books students, faculty, and staff.

Accessibility Policy

Repository Digital Books is committed to making the materials it provides access to as broadly accessible as possible, and to ensuring that access to its content is consistent with obligations under state and federal disabilities law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.


Deaccession and Takedown Policy

Authors/depositors may not on their own withdraw or delete anything they have deposited, and instead must make a request that will be reviewed by relevant library or Repository Digital Books staff (for example, library copyright experts, deans or other administrators), and acted on as appropriate by repository managers.


Preservation Policy

Repository Digital Books is committed to the long-term preservation and persistent access to the Library digital assets curated in the Repository Digital Books that also is committed to the stewardship of these materials into the future.

To access the Login Area you need to fill out the following form and send your request to evaluate the possibility of granting access to this area to create your own repository with the selection of books proposed to/by the Repository Digital Books administration.
